A membership for horsewomen who want to build trust, steadiness, and true partnership — without pressure, force, or constant self-doubt leading the way.
You love your horse.
You want connection.
You want trust.
You want the kind of partnership that feels willing, calm, and real.
But somewhere along the way, things started to feel heavier than they should.
You second-guess yourself.
You wonder if you’re missing something obvious.
You try to stay calm, do the right thing, be a good leader, and help your horse feel safe…
…and yet something still feels off.
Maybe your horse gets tense.
Maybe they brace, rush, disconnect, or shut down.
Maybe nothing looks dramatic from the outside — but inside, you can feel the friction.
And what makes it harder is this:
You care deeply.
You are trying.
And you’re tired of feeling like that should be enough by now.
You are not failing.
You are likely responding to the moment too late.
Because most horse owners have been taught to focus on behavior first.
What the horse is doing.
How to correct it.
How to make it stop.
How to get back on track.
But behavior is rarely where the real problem begins.
Long before the brace…
the hesitation…
the rushing…
the shutdown…
there is usually a quieter shift.
A loss of connection.
A change in nervous system state.
A moment when readiness disappears.
And if we miss that moment, we often start applying pressure to a horse who is no longer available for learning.
That is where trust erodes.
That is where self-doubt grows.
That is where both horse and human start working harder than they need to.
This is the reframe that changes everything
Your horse is already responding to you before you ever ask for anything.
They are reading:
your breath
your pace
your muscle tone
your attention
your urgency
your internal state
Before a cue is ever given, your horse is feeling the conditions surrounding it.
So when something feels difficult, the question is not only:
How do I fix this behavior?
It is also:
What needs to settle first?
That question opens an entirely different kind of horsemanship.
One rooted in presence.
In perception.
In regulation.
In partnership.
Not softer because it lacks leadership.
Softer because it is more precise.
What I teach instead
I teach a regulation-first approach to leadership that helps horse and human return to connection before asking for performance.
Inside this work, we do not override readiness.
We build it.
We learn to recognize the invisible tension that comes before resistance.
We learn to notice more instead of forcing more.
We learn how to regulate the human before escalating the horse.
We learn how to create the conditions where willingness becomes possible again.
This is what I call Horse Centered Recalibration.
It is the practice of resetting the moment before things spiral.
Of recognizing when connection has been lost.
Of helping both nervous systems settle enough for trust to return.
Of learning to lead in a way your horse can actually receive.
Because pressure narrows perception.
Presence widens it.
And when perception widens, everything changes.
Introducing Becoming
Becoming: Horse Centered Recalibration is my membership for horse people who want to understand their horse more deeply, regulate themselves more skillfully, and develop the kind of partnership that does not rely on pressure, compliance, or constant self-correction.
This is not a membership built on hype.
It is a place to learn how to see differently.
To notice earlier.
To lead more steadily.
To understand what your horse is communicating before the moment becomes a problem.
Inside Becoming, you’ll build the foundations of partnership through presence, not force.
What you’ll receive inside Becoming
The 4 Foundations of Embodied Partnership
A core 4-video series that grounds you in the essential principles of this work.
These trainings help you understand the deeper framework behind presence-based partnership so you can start applying it with more clarity and confidence.
A new monthly teaching video
Each month, you’ll receive a recorded presentation on a topic related to Horse-Centered Recalibration, partnership, regulation, leadership, and trust.
These are designed to deepen your understanding and help you keep growing in a steady, embodied way.
A monthly Q&A call
Each month, you’ll have access to a Q&A call where you can bring your questions, reflections, and real-life experiences.
Every call is recorded, so you can revisit the conversations and learn from the questions others are navigating too.
A growing content library
You’ll have access to the library of monthly teaching videos and recorded Q&A calls, so the value of the membership continues to build over time.
This becomes a resource you can return to again and again as your eye, leadership, and confidence deepen.
A community discussion board
A space to reflect, connect, and be in conversation with like-minded horsewomen who care about trust, presence, and partnership.
Not performance.
Not proving.
Real growth.
Inside the membership, we focus on:
Regulation & Readiness
Learn how nervous system state shapes every interaction between horse and human.
You’ll begin recognizing the subtle shifts that tell you whether your horse is available, uncertain, bracing, or beginning to reconnect.
Leadership Without Force
Explore what calm, trustworthy leadership actually looks like in practice.
Not domination.
Not “making them respect you.”
Not pushing through.
Real leadership that creates felt safety, clarity, and willingness.
The Inner Journey of the Horsewoman
Because this work is never just about the horse.
We address the self-doubt, anxiety, comparison, pressure, and inner tightening that so many thoughtful horsewomen carry quietly.
You’ll learn to trust your own perception instead of constantly questioning yourself.
Real-Time Horse-Centered Application
Through stories, examples, and observation, you’ll learn how this work shows up in actual barn moments.
Grooming.
Catching.
Tacking.
Trailer loading.
Riding.
Pausing.
Resetting.
Beginning again.
This membership is for you if…
You love your horse deeply, but you know something in the relationship could feel steadier.
You are tired of pressure-based approaches that create compliance without real trust.
You suspect your horse is communicating more than you’ve been taught to notice.
You want to feel calmer, clearer, and more confident in how you lead.
You are ready to stop asking, What’s wrong with me?
and start asking better questions.
You want a thoughtful, horse-centered path that honors both the horse’s nervous system and your own.
This may not be for you if…
You are looking for quick fixes, rigid formulas, or a way to make your horse comply faster.
You want dominance-based methods, behavior suppression, or leadership built on force.
You are unwilling to slow down enough to notice what is actually happening in the moment.
Because Becoming is not about overpowering the horse.
It is about becoming the kind of leader a horse can trust.
What begins to change inside this work
The transformation is rarely dramatic at first.
It is subtle.
Observable.
Real.
Your horse lowers their head sooner.
A tense moment de-escalates more quickly.
They stay with you instead of walking away.
Grooming feels quieter.
Transitions feel smoother.
You notice your own urgency before it turns into pressure.
You pause instead of escalating.
You reset instead of spiraling.
And over time, those quiet moments begin to compound.
You trust yourself more.
Your horse feels different around you.
You stop trying to prove.
You start learning to perceive.
That is when partnership begins to deepen in a way that lasts.
Membership Investment
You can join Becoming in the way that best supports you:
$44/month
or
$444/year
The annual option gives you a full year inside the membership at a lower overall investment, while allowing you to stay immersed in the work long enough for the quieter shifts to compound.
Because this work is not about rushing transformation.
It is about practicing a different way of leading until it becomes who you are.
About Kim
I’ve been a horse girl my entire life.
I’m also a trained mental health counselor and former educator, which means my work lives at the intersection of horsemanship, nervous system regulation, and human psychology.
For years, I watched women struggle not because they didn’t care enough, but because they had never been taught how much their internal state affects what happens with their horse.
I also saw how much anxiety lives quietly in the horse world — especially among women who love their horses deeply but don’t feel confident leading them.
That is why I created this work.
Today, I blend decades of horsemanship with clinical understanding of nervous systems, emotional regulation, and lived transformation. Through my Presence & Partnership approach, I help horses become more settled, willing, and available — and help their humans become steadier, more self-led, and more trusting of their own perception.
This work is not theoretical for me.
It is lived.
Practiced.
Refined in real time.
In the pasture, in the arena, and in the emotional world of the humans I serve.
A final truth
Compliance is not the same as trust.
A horse can do what you ask and still not feel safe.
But when a horse feels safe enough to stay connected…
when they begin offering attention again…
when you learn how to notice and honor readiness…
partnership changes.
Not because you forced it.
Because you created the conditions for it.
That is what we practice inside Becoming.
