What is IJH?

This path of self-growth enables us to connect to a horse essence to essence allowing for the gentle strength of leadership to emerge.Inner Journey Horsemanship (IJH) is a practical skill-building program valuing the horse's current ability and state, recognizing their process, and growing the relationship through horsemanship. 

This is an excellent program for those who are new to horses or have that horse they can't quite understand or acquire the results they have generally gotten with other horses.The foundation of IJH is the practice of self-regulation of both humans and horses, the primary skill of this horse "training" method. Self-regulation is how we hold space, how we recognize the threshold of both horse and ourselves; if horse, self, or others don't have the thresholds honored, we can't find the success we want. 

The more we regulate and notice these thresholds, we will help ourselves, and our horses find authentic alignment. We are creating true partnerships with horses and attuning to the horse.

Why the cards?

The Inner Journey Horsemanship Cards are supplemental to the program but not required for

the program. They can be used independently as a creative tool in seeking help for self

awareness or what to consider when working with a horse and recognizing a threshold is being

bumped up against.

The development of the cards:

As a lover of oracle cards, this deck is a product of passion. We have been utilizing other

beloved decks for years seeking advice and clarity for ourselves and horses but none of them

aligned deeply. This led to creating the deck of empowering words to help adjust to a positive

mindset when working through challenging situations with horses or even in our personal lives.

This deck's mission is to help us seek the positive and lean into it when it feels out of reach.
