Joe Camp has written a book titled, The Soul of a Horse: Life Lessons from the Herd. I found this to be a very worthwhile read. If you can remember the adorable dog Benji, Joe Camp is the one to thank!
In this book, the author shares his journey of horse ownership. His trials and tribulations are educational and inspiring. If you find the title of the book intriguing because it’s in alignment with your philosophy, give it a try. If you have read it, I would love to have you post a comment below.
Here is my comment on how the book affected me:
I found the book very validating in how I think and feel about horses. I recently decided not to move my business because it would have meant that my horses would have to be stalled. Right now, my horses live outside and it has improved their health and happiness. Even though I could have had the convenience of an indoor arena, I chose to keep my horses where they are to live in a way that works best for them. After reading The Soul of a Horse I felt less like I needed to defend my decision. Thank you, Mr. Camp!
