In order to reach new goals, or create new habits (including increasing our confidence), we have to make sure we have enough energy. Deliberate and well thought out actions need our focus and attention, and they are the stuff that change is made of. Being that we have a finite amount of daily energy, taking stock of where we spend our energy can help us figure out how our valuable energy could be put to the most effective use.

An exercise that helps highlight what we should prioritize is making a list of those things that give us energy, and those that drain our energy. Then, what we want to do is work toward eliminating those things that drain our energy. Removing those things from the list will allow us to feel lighter, and have more energy to put toward those things that make our lives exciting and purposeful. Create more energizing moments in your day with just a little conscious effort. The payoff is well worth it!
